Itinerary

Day 1 ARRIVE SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA.
Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 SAN JOSE / ARENAL.
Travel to famous Arenal Volcano. Thrill to views of one of Costa Rica's most active volcanoes. Entrance to Tabacon Resort Mineral Hot Springs is included during your stay in the Arenal area. (B,D)

Day 3 ARENAL.
A day at leisure for optional activities. Perhaps visit the Tabacon Resort to soak in the hot springs, take a skywalk over the rainforest, a volcano hiking tour or guided nature walk, or go horseback riding or river rafting on the Sarapiquí River. (B)

Day 4 ARENAL / MONTEVERDE.
Travel from Arenal to Monteverde. Spend two nights in this peaceful and beautiful region. (B)

Day 5 MONTEVERDE CLOUD FOREST.
Enjoy a guided visit to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. The Reserve is called a "cloud forest" because of its altitude – the clouds go through the forest. A walking tour allows you to view the flora and fauna up close. Watch for quetzals, monkeys and more. (B)

Day 6 MONTEVERDE / MANUEL ANTONIO.
Leave the cloud forest and travel to Manuel Antonio, with an early afternoon arrival. (B)

Day 7 MANUEL ANTONIO.
A free day with a variety of optional trips available. You might want to try kayaking, rafting,
or horseback riding (all own expense). Of course, you may want to simply relax. (B)

Day 8 MANUEL ANTONIO / SAN JOSE.
Travel back to San Jose. The balance of your day is free. (B)

Day 9 DEPART SAN JOSE.
Transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B) Extra nights are available in Manuel Antonio.
